Supreme Court constitutes National Task Force for proper supply of oxygen to states; Which will be able to use the resources of the center for information and advice

The Supreme Court has constituted the National Task Force. It has 12 members. This will make the methodology of allocation of oxygen on scientific basis to the states / UTs. Will perform the assessment based on the need, availability and distribution of medical oxygen for the entire country. It will conduct research on epidemic management and will also ensure availability of essential medicines.
A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah issued an order on May 6, taking over the task force. The order was uploaded on the website of the Supreme Court on Saturday. Accordingly, the Union Cabinet Secretary will be ex-officio member and director in the task force.

The task force may form one or more sub-groups for its convenience. These groups can be on the basis of regions. The task force will see how much oxygen is required by a state on a scientific, rational, just basis. Accordingly, oxygen supply will be ensured.

Task Force constituted for 6 months
The task force has been formed for six months. During this period, he will prepare his report and recommendations. According to the Supreme Court, the task force will have the freedom to use the resources of the Center for information and advice. For this, various departments will have to work with the work force. In this, the Secretaries of NITI Aayog, Ministry of Health, National Center for Demography, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry will support.
